When we have received your material it is given an impartial listening evaluation where notes are made about edits, fades, equalisation, noise reduction etc.
Dynamics processing can be used to help "gel" the mix together, or to add "colour" or give the song more "punch". Though it depends entirely on the style of music just how much is needed and how it is applied.
Finally, the average level of your tracks can be raised considerably if needed or can be boosted more gently depending on whether or not your looking for a "Hot" sounding master or just require a general level boost.
Once all the processing is completed the final master is written to disc and you will receive your original mix CD, the Master CD and a safety back up master just in case of emergencies!!!

Before sending in your material try and take the time to see whether or not you are happy enough with the mixing. You should already be happy with the overall "balance" between the instruments, vox and other sounds.
Also please don't put any compression or limiting on the master output of your mixes.
If you can't live without it, then that's cool but please don't over do it!!!
No more than about -1db to -1.5db of gain reduction will be ok, but anymore will be audible. Remember compression can be applied during the mastering anyway.
Please try and make sure that none of your mixes are overloading (clipping) the master output on your mixer / digital workstation etc.
You can get away with overloads in the analogue world but here in the digital realm it's not good, believe me overloading an analogue mixer is NOT the same as overloading a digital mixer. Clipping in the digital world sounds just plain awful.

Currently, I accept CD-R audio discs, or CD-Data / CD-Rom discs to work from.
You’re best to send the highest resolution version of your material, e.g. if you recorded at 24 bit 96 Khz, then just burn them as a CD-Data / CD-Rom disc.
Although 24 bit files are preferred, if all you have are 16 bit 44.1 Khz files then that’s fine also, as they will be upsampled during the mastering.

PLEASE NOTE - I don't accept Mp3's as a format to work from but can convert the masters to Mp3 if needed.
